EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SUBMITTING YOUR ART

We have a fully dedicated art and marketing department - up to date on all of the best practices in the design world. If you have any confusion about how you should submit your art or what kind of file types are appropriate, please read below and or feel free to contact our our department for more information.  

COLOR STANDARDS:

We adhere to the universal Pantone® Matching System for printed ink colors. To assure 100% satisfaction, we recommend that you refer to Pantone® for color selection and matching.

PREFERRED FILE TYPES:
 

  • BEST: high quality (300 - 600 dpi) PDF files saved directly from art software (not scanned), EPS, AI, PSD, INDD, Packaged art files with links and outlined text

  • GOOD:  high resolution PDF, JPG, TIF, PNG, GIF 

  • OKAY:  Word Document, PowerPoint Slide, Publisher Document, Scanned artwork of clean and completed hand drawings

  • MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL ART FEES: hand-drawings, any above mentioned file types that are low resolution and require redrawing or clean up, addition or removal of artwork components, color correction, purchase of specific fonts if not provided

  • NOT RECOMMENDED:  anything pixelated or low quality including but not limited to - files that have been saved from the internet or screen shots from a computer screen, low resolution scanned files, low resolution versions of any of the aforementioned accepted file types, animated GIFs, BMP

WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR FILES:

  • The exact size you want of your final product

  • What type of tag you're interested in producing 

  • Any specific notes you have regarding the colors of your artwork

     

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ARTWORK:

  • You can email your artwork files to sales@scarboroughco.com

  • When you email your artwork, please ATTACH high quality files.

  • Please do not "cut and paste" or embed art files into the body of your email. 

  • If you are local to the North Texas area, you are always welcome to bring samples or digital files to our office during office hours.

  • You can also mail your samples and or digital files via disc or USB flash drive.
